Practical resources for Jira implementation and Agile delivery.

What is the difference between Jira Software and JSM?
Jira Software is commonly used for software and delivery work, while Jira Service Management is designed around service requests, incidents, customer portals, queues and SLAs.
Should I use Scrum or Kanban?
Use the delivery model that matches the work. Scrum fits planned, time-boxed increments; Kanban fits continuous flow and variable incoming work.
Can Jira automatically assign support requests?
Yes. Jira automation can assign newly created work items to an internal support owner and notify relevant stakeholders.
Can customers submit requests without a Jira account?
With an appropriately configured public JSM/form experience, customers can submit requests without needing a Jira user account.
Do support projects need risk management?
Yes. Support and AMS engagements can track resource, production, dependency, knowledge, volume, release and service risks.
What should a Project Manager dashboard show?
Typically backlog trend, resolution performance, work distribution, business impact, risks, dependencies and other management-level indicators.
What should an Executive dashboard show?
Keep it high-level: open backlog, support trend, resolution time, business impact, environment impact and critical issues.
What belongs in a Jira knowledge base?
Self-service answers, troubleshooting steps, FAQs, how-to articles, known issues and operational guidance that customers or teams can reuse.
